We have enhanced this Department by also advising on “Faraid” or Muslim inheritance law and preparing the relevant documents.
We had previously dealt with complicated Faraid matter whereby the properties/assets belongs to the ancestor were not distributed by way of Faraid neither Small Estate Distribution by the earlier legal heirs i.e the grandparents which was then handed down to the parents but the same was not done and the application for Small Estate Distribution was only done recently by the legal heirs of third generation of the family. In this respect, we have to go through a lot of complicated procedures but nevertheless the order was granted eventually. Thus this experience has expanded our knowledge and skill especially in dealing with Muslim inheritance law.
